Welcome to a virtual tour of the NARC.

The National Amateur Radio Centre, is the Home of Amateur Radio in South Africa. It was built in 1998/1999 and opened in April of 1999.

The NARC was constructed using donations from Radio Amateurs all over South Africa and the world. 

This building acts as the Headquarters for the SARL and is equipped with office, and conference facilities.

These facilities are used in the day-to-day running of the SARL as well as for training and promotional activities.

The SARL administrative officer is Kelley Heslop.

The office is open to members on weekdays from 08:30 to 15:30.

 


The conference facilities at the NARC, used for in-house SARL meetings as well as educational and promotional presentations.

Part of the Radio room at the NARC. This room is kitted out with HF, VHF and UHF equipment kindly donated by members and equipment suppliers over the years.
